AI4Free does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or share any personal information. You can start chatting immediately with no sign-up process.
We use browser fingerprinting solely for session management and rate limiting. Your browser generates an anonymous identifier that, combined with your IP address, creates a session hash. This hash is used exclusively to prevent abuse and enforce fair usage limits. It cannot be used to identify you personally.
Your conversation history is stored entirely in your browser's local storage. We do not store, retrieve, or have access to your chat history on our servers. Clearing your browser data will permanently remove all your conversations. There is no server-side endpoint to access your chat history.
For quality improvement and debugging purposes, we log anonymized request and response data on our backend. These logs are keyed by an irreversible hash (not your IP or fingerprint directly) and contain only the prompt payloads and model responses. This data is used exclusively for monitoring service health and improving response quality.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your data to third parties. Your queries are forwarded to third-party language model providers (such as OpenRouter, Groq, SambaNova, and others) for processing. These providers may have their own privacy policies governing how they handle inference data.
Backend logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days, after which they are automatically purged. Rate-limiting session records are reset daily and fully removed after 30 days of inactivity. No long-term personal data is stored.
